01

Colour and textures

Light and soft colours will make the bathroom look bigger as the walls will reflect more light and make the walls seem to recede.

Using larger tiles to avoid a lot of grout lines, large tiles make the space look cleaner, bigger and more elegant because the surfaces look more uniform.

Adding a second tile brings a designer look to your space!

02

Uniformity

The sense of uniformity ties the room together.

Opt for a different material within the same hue or colour family. You’ll have contrast by texture, and you’ll keep the space unified, which will make your small bathroom seem more spacious.

03

Minimalist glass partition

Opt for minimalist glass partition instead of complex structures or curtains, this helps maintain uniformity making it feel larger.

We recommend simply glass partitions instead of grids

04

Vertical space

Its common to focus on the floor as the primary surface within a space but we can also take advantage of the vertical surfaces. Visually it is important to emphasize the vertical lines to open up the room to create a feeling of spaciousness. An effective way to accomplish this is to use your vertical space for storage, such as open shelving that goes all the way to the ceiling which you can use for your clean towels or store other things. You can take advantage of the wall area above the toilet to put shelves and use it as open storage.

Colour and textures

A mirror is essential in any bathroom, especially in small spaces because they reflect the area and the light. An excellent idea is opting for one large mirror even when you have two sinks, this unifies the space, makes the bathroom look elegant and bigger. You can dare to take your mirror up to the ceiling, this is the optimal way to enlarge a room, take advantage of it and go big!

06

Lighting

In interior design, lighting is the secret ingredient and a good lighting plan gives a modern look and makes this space safe and bright which makes it feel larger. Don't settle for having a single light bulb in the middle of the ceiling. This is not enough to guarantee pleasant aesthetics and functionality . Consider distributing different lighting sources in space to get uniform general lighting and reduce shadows. If you're going to build your bathroom from scratch we recommend that you include architectural lighting. You can opt for led lights to define your space and incorporate them under the floating vanity or behind the mirror this allows you to brighten up the space without having visible lighting fixtures.

Space & Layout

Design isn’t just about how a room looks – it’s about how it works. Open-plan living is a great way to bring people together, seamlessly connecting the kitchen, dining, and living areas. At the same time, smart zoning ensures every part of your home has a purpose – whether it’s a quiet spot for work, a cosy corner for rest, or a lively space for entertaining. Good flow is key: furniture placement, hallway widths, and room transitions should all allow natural movement without clutter. The right layout makes a home feel bigger, brighter, and more comfortable to live in.

Landscaping

A well-designed landscape extends your home outdoors, creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional. The key is balance – mixing greenery with pathways, decks, and stone features for structure. Smart zoning can transform your yard into outdoor “rooms,” with dedicated areas for dining, relaxing, and play. Flow matters too: paths should guide movement naturally, while layered planting adds depth and year-round appeal. By choosing climate-suited plants and adding subtle lighting, you can enjoy a low-maintenance garden that looks inviting day and night.
