Peace of Mind, From Day One
At Crivello Constructions, your confidence and security are just as important as the quality of our workmanship. That’s why every project we deliver is backed by the statutory warranties required under the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 (QBCC Act), along with the additional protection of the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme. When you build with us, you can trust that your investment is safeguarded from start to finish.

Structural Warranty
We guarantee all structural elements of your project — including load-bearing construction and waterproofing systems — for 6 years and 6 months from the date of completion. This warranty covers any defects that could impact the performance or integrity of your building, such as foundation issues or membrane failures in wet areas like bathrooms and laundries.
Non-Structural Warranty
For 6 months from completion, we cover non-structural work such as surface finishes, fittings, and minor detailing. While these issues are rare, this warranty ensures that even the smallest details are delivered to the highest standard.
Our Commitment to Quality
-
All work is carried out with due care, skill, and professionalism.

We use only new, high-quality materials that are fit for purpose.
-
Every project complies fully with approved plans, specifications, building codes, and Australian standards.

We work with a trusted network of trades and suppliers — many of whom we’ve partnered with for more than 25 years — ensuring consistency, reliability, and peace of mind.

Queensland Home Warranty Scheme
In addition to our own guarantees, your project is covered by the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme, which provides insurance against incomplete or defective work. This policy is arranged and paid for by us on your behalf before construction begins, giving you complete protection from day one.
At Crivello Constructions, our goal is not just to build spaces that last, but to ensure our clients enjoy a safe, transparent, and stress-free experience — knowing their project is fully protected every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I get an initial price?
A: Send us the basics — approximate dimensions, photos, and a short description of what you want. We’ll provide a free initial estimate. If that looks good, we follow up with an on-site consultation and a fixed-price quote.

Q: How long does a typical granny flat take to build?
A: Timelines vary by scope and approvals, but most granny flats take 12–20 weeks from start of construction (once approvals are in place). We’ll give you a tailored program in your quote so you know what to expect.

Q: Do you handle council approvals and permits?
A: Yes — we can manage the permit process or work with your preferred certifier/designer. We’ll explain what’s required during the consultation and include any fees in your quote if requested.

Q: Are your trades insured and qualified?
A: Absolutely. We work with a trusted network of trades we’ve partnered with for decades. All trades are licensed where required, insured, and experienced in their respective trades.

Q: What warranties cover my project?
A: All projects are covered by the statutory warranties required under the QBCC Act. We provide a 6 years 6 months structural warranty (including waterproofing) and a 6-month non-structural warranty for finishes. Your project is also covered by the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme — organised and paid for by us before work starts.

Q: What is included in a fixed quote?
A: A fixed quote sets out the scope, inclusions, exclusions, timeline, and payment schedule. Any specific fixtures, finishes, or allowances will be listed so there are no surprises.

Q: How do variations (change requests) work?
A: If you request a change after the contract is signed, we’ll provide a written variation showing the cost and time implications. We won’t proceed until you approve the variation in writing.

Q: Can you help with selecting finishes and fixtures?
A: Yes — our in-house design team can help you choose finishes, fixtures, and layouts that suit your budget and lifestyle. We provide guidance and can source products on your behalf.

Q: Do you offer financing or payment plan advice?
A: We don’t provide loans, but we’ll outline the payment schedule in your contract.

Q: How do you minimise disruption during renovations?
A: We plan works to reduce inconvenience — staging the build, protecting existing areas, communicating daily progress, and scheduling noisy or disruptive tasks at reasonable times.

Q: What happens if work runs late?
A: We build realistic programs and update you regularly. If an unavoidable delay occurs (e.g., supplier lead times or council matters), we’ll communicate the reasons and revised timeline and work to mitigate impacts.

Q: How do I request a maintenance or warranty repair after handover?
A: Contact us via phone or email with project details and photos. We’ll assess the issue, confirm warranty coverage if applicable, and arrange repairs promptly.
